Supporting the communities where we live and play is a priority for the Bear Valley 4×4 Club. We assist local organizations and partake in civic activities. We participate in the U.S. Forest Service’s Adopt-A-Trail Program and provide money, manpower, and materials to keep trails clean, safe, and within approved boundaries. Our club backs the California Off-Highway Vehicle Association’s (CORVA) legislative efforts to maintain and protect off-road access off-roading trails and roads throughout California.
When feasible, the Bear Valley 4×4 Club supports Bear Valley activities, clubs, and organizations that benefit community residents and visitors:
The Bear Valley 4×4 Club funded the creation of an alpine environment called “Messy Materials” at the Big Bear Discovery Center that helps young visitors learn how animals live in and under wooded debris piles. |
The Bear Valley 4×4 Club proudly supports the “Kids on Public Lands” program. This program provides “at risk” inner city youth with an opportunity to visit the San Bernardino National Forest, ride in a 4-wheel drive vehicle, and enjoy lunch. The event is coordinated by the Anaheim Police Department and Anaheim YMCA. It is geared toward boys and girls between 8 and 12 years of age that have never visited the mountains. |
Supporting our troops and veterans by giving them an exhilarating four-wheel drive ride. |
